Throughout the school year, kids face rigid structure, from classes to planned sports and activities. For those attending summer camp, it can be more of the same. At Steve & Kate’s Camp Hoboken, kids are in the driver’s seat, choosing which activity they can focus on each day.

Hosted at Hoboken Charter School, the popular day camp is designed for children ages four through twelve. Running late June through August, hours are 8:00 AM through 6:00 PM, supporting working parents.

What Sets Steve & Kate’s Camp Apart

Steve & Kate’s Camp differs from other options in that kids choose the activities they do, whom they do it with, and for how long. Not only is this freedom fun, but it sets the groundwork for life, where independence, resiliency and responsibility over their own decisions is a critical life skill.

Activities cover a wide range of interests, from coding and filming to baking and sewing to lounging and sporting. Traditional camp activities like “Sports & Rec” provide the go-kart experience and usual sports, while the “Tinker Lab” offers an endless supply of arts and crafts, and STEM-inspired activities such as “Coding” or “Robotics” present hands-on tech fun.

Flexibility For Families

Steve & Kate’s Camp isn’t just about fun for your little ones. Families need flexible camp options, and Steve & Kate’s provides just that. Day passes or full summer passes are both available, and families can use them whenever they want, no advance scheduling needed. Drop off and pick up times are intentionally long, and unused passes are refunded at the end of the season.

Camp fees include meals and snacks, so that you can skip the worry over packed lunches and additional logistics.

Honing in on Leadership

Have a teen who’s looking to sharpen their leadership skills? Steve & Kate’s Camp Hoboken is excited to offer its Mentorship Program at this location. Designed for ages fourteen through fifteen, participants get a sense of what it’s like to work as a counselor and develop leadership skills through the camp’s self-directed philosophy.

Weekly Specials Keep Things Exciting

Not only do kids get to choose how they spend the majority of each day, but Steve & Kate’s Camp knows that enough is never enough for your kiddos. Each week, special activities such as yoga, stuffing your own toy, beat makers, reptile day visitors, and more, are designed to keep your kids on their toes, and expect the unexpected.
